 Sunday, 07.09.2008, Prince Paul and Princess Lia of Romania were guests of honor at Cluj, with the occasion of the Johann Strauss International Festival opening. The Hungary opera orchestra from Cluj-Napoca, under the wand of the Austrian conductor Christian Schulz dedicates this royal musical to Their Royal Highness, as gratitude for the active and continuous involvement in sustaining music as form of expression. Prince Paul is a real music lover, the classic operas being the music that charmed his childhood and took the place of lullabies and this is due to his mother, Helen Henriette Nagavitzine, a russian with noble heritages that managed to run away from Russia and moved to Paris, she was a known opera singer in that time. Her debut role was Mimi - La Boheme (Giacomo Puccini) at the Paris Opera.

 The annual meeting of Praise and Breakfast was held this year inside the Romanian Parliament building, hosted by the President of the Senate, Nicolae Vacaroiu and the President of the Deputy Room, Bogdan Olteanu. The celebration of Firefighter’s Day. Saturday’s activities included exhibitions and military parades, to which Minister of Interior and Administrative Reforms, Cristian David, TRH Prince Paul and Princess Lia of Romania, General Secara, General Dragnea, General Penciuc, etc. 160 years passed since the Battle of Spirii Hill where the brave firefighters held back the foreign armies trying to occupy Bucharest. In their memory a service was held and flower wreaths were brought to the Firefighters Heroes Monument.

Comemorating 2 years since Prince Carol Mircea of Romania passed away, the first born of His Majesty Carol II of Romania
According to the tradition of the Orthodox Church there is a comemorative serviceto be held each year after one passes away. In his father’s memory, HRH Printul Carol Mircea f Romania, HRH Prince Paul joined Archbishop Teodosie, General Penciuc of the National Military Constabulary, Leutenant General Teodor Halic, President of the Royal Oreder Michael the Brave, Colonel Marin, manager of the National Military Constabulary School from Dragasani, President of the „Omenia Foundation” Mrs. Ilie Minodora, along with 300 weepers. Prince Paul’s father is burried at Cozia Princiary Monastery with Ruler of the Romanian County Mircea the Old.

"A royal succes for saving the environment. A mission for saving the peruvian wildlife." On Republic of Peru National Day Prince Paul’s book “ Mission for saving the peruvian wildlife” launched globally. The book describes the experience that His Royal Highness had in the year1979 in the Republica of Peru and the contribution he brought to preserve the peruvian wildlife, especially the creature called vicunia.
The book, edited in three languages (English,Romanian and Spanish) offers the public a collection of authentic images of peruvian landscapes and wildlife, recovered from the HRH’s private collection. Readers will be able to discover an impressive story about the major importance preserving the environment and fauna has, in order to prevent ecological disasters.

HRH Prince Paul of Romania was the Guest of Honor for the first ever Polo Match in Romania. His Highness was undeterred by the torrential like rain that delayed the match for several of hours. At the press conference he mentioned that: “It seems that a good downpour is becoming part of the Polo experience. Only last weekend I was a guest at the charity match held by Ham Polo Club and it was also almost canceled because of the rain. But we Polo lovers, proceed undaunted.”

Annual Gala Honoring Police Day was officiated by the Minister of the Interior Cristian David and Inspector General Police Chief Dr. Gheorghe Popa. The event centers around the awarding for outstanding services of police officers throughout the country. Ambassadors, Police Chiefs and 34 representatives of the EU and neighboring countries attended the prestigious affair at The Romanian Athenium, often compared favorably to the Royal Albert Hall.

 HRH Prince Paul of Romania participated together with his wife, Princess Lia, at the Christmas mass held by His Beatitude Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church at the Patriarchal Cathedral. It was a special moment as this was the first Christmas mass for His Beatitude as the Patriarch of Romania. After the mass, TRH were invited at the Patriarchal House and took this opportunity to take memorable pictures with the Patriarch and the priests that attended the event in order to hold the memory of this special moment.
