Vizit at the Military School of geandarmes "Grigore Alexandru Ghica" - Dragasani - 24 october

     TRH Prince and Princess Paul of Romania visited Military School of Gendarmes "Grigore Alexandru Ghica"in Dragasani. Their Royal Highnesses and the other personalities were welcomed by the gendarmes and General Antonescu with military honors. HRH Prince Paul offered the annual prize to the best 2 students and promised he is going to return in 2010.

The “Peace, Faith and Progress” European Prize was granted to HRH Prince Paul of Romania by distinguished sculptor, Professor Vincenzo Bianchi and Roberto Orologio

      On October 17, HRH Prince Paul of Romania was awarded with the European Prize “Peace, Faith and Progress”. Former Russian President, Mikhail Gorbaciov was the first recipient of this distinguished prize. The venue of the event was the picturesque island of Ventotene. The event gathered important personalities all over the world, mostly from Europeean area and was followed by a tour of the Italian Senate conducted by the director of Bicameral Committee, Prof. Vico Vincenzi. Another Romanian guest at this event was professor Ioan Deaconescu, the president of the international "Mihai Eminescu" Academy from Craiova.

Gala Charity Concert, in aid of the Royal Academy of Music Organ Appeal 22 september 2009

     HRH Prince Paul of Romania was named as an Ambassador for the Royal Academy of Music in London. He will be in charge of the Romanian Students and his scholarships (offered in the honor of his great grand-mother, HM Queen Marie of Romania, grand-daughter of Queen Victoria of England, Niece of Tsar Alexander II of Russia) will go to the talented Romanian Students of this fine institution.

The unveiling of HM Queen Marie’s Statue

     The City Mayor of Calarasi, Mr. Nicoale Dragu, invited as special guests the President of Romania,  Traian Basescu and TRH Prince Paul (Queen Marie's great grandson) and Princess Lia of Romania to the ceremony of unveiling the statue of HM Queen Marie standing in the Central Park in Calarasi.

     At this event also participated the President of the War Veterans Association, gen. Dragnea, the President of the Association of the Knight’s Order ‘Mihai Viteazu’, gen. (r) Teodor Halic, senators, deputies and other officials.

     The statue will remind to people about those history pages that we should be very proud.

     In the memory of his great-grandmother, Queen Marie, Prince Paul will offer a prize of 1000 euro to the best student of "Mihai Eminescu" High school.

Official visit in Eforie on Prince Paul's birthday (13 August)

     At the invitation of the Mayor Ing. Ion Ovidiu Brailoiu, TRH Prince and Princess Paul of Romania attended the celebration of the 110 years of the Eforie Sea Resort. They were officially greeted in the Town Hall by the Mayor and his staff and raised a glass of champagne of the occasion of Prince Paul's birthday. They also visited the new installed harbor for private yachts and Prince Paul was awarded a diploma of excellence by the mayor.

Visiting Dej (30 July)

     TRH Prince and Princess Paul of Romania were invited by the Mayor of Dej, Mr. Morar Costan, to visit the town and on that occasion Princess Lia was made the president of honor of the women's association Felicia-San. They also visited the salt mine, the Church built inside the salt mine and the Saint Monastery of Nicula.

Visiting the USS STOUT in the Port of Constanta

     TRH Prince Paul and Princess Lia were invited on the the 23rf of July 2009 to a reception on board of the American Destroyer in the Constanta Port, by the commanding officer of the USS STOUT (DDG 55) and the US Navy League Black Sea Chapter as well as the US Naval attache.

Unveiling the statue of HM King Carol I

      May 10 - Prince Paul of Romania unveiling the statue of Carol I at the center of Improvement of Training the Mountain Geandarms in Sinaia in the presence of Gen. Dr. Costica Silion, Gen. Penciuc and the Interns State Secretary.
