HRH's Prince Paul and Princess Lia support of the initiative of the two jandarms and two romanian alpinists appeared as a reaction for their courage and love for theirs country. During the years, the royal family has helped alpinists escaladating mount Everest, with the ocassion of cellebrating 50 years since Sir Edmund Hillary "conquered" Mount Everest

During her stay at White House, during Carter administration, Princess Lia has helped raising funds for the first female alpinists group that went to Anapurna.  The purpose of that action made by the four romaniansis to promote a good image of Romania at global level and to balance the negative image of your country lately.
