"HRH Prince Paul of ROmania granted TV interviews and met with a series of Members of the European Parliament fo a more Positive image of Romania. He was seated at the Had Table of the annual EU Prayer Breakfast with the distingueshed Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and the President of the European Parliament. The discussions centered around the role of faith and honor in public life and the moral responsabilities of the new member countries.
At the commission, it was well received when Prince Paul said that he was determined that all members of the Romanian Royal Family should underwrite personally their own expenses on lobbying trips because this is a duty to Romania and should not be salaried by the taxpayers or the Government. the week long goodwill mission highlighted the Romanian economic and cultural potential from a European perspective."
