With the celebration of the Saints Constantine and Elena, His Royal Highness Prince Paul of Romania was awarded, at a ceremony at the church with the same name, by the Archbishop of Tomis, His Holiness Dr. Teodosie, with the Cross of the Saint Andrei.
Over a thousand people participated at the ceremony.
This honor was given to Prince Paul in the virtue of his sustained and active involvement in the important projects of the Orthodox Church.
Additionally, His Royal Highness personally financed numerous projects related to the restoration and renovation of church and cathedrals throughout the country.
Furthermore, His Royal Highness recently donated to an elderly asylum 60.000 Euros to install a modern heating system that could support the 300 rooms. Also, Prince Paul distributed 100.000 manuals to pupils in the rural area where access to new books is somewhat limited.
This year, Prince Paul of Romania, together with his wife, Princess Lia, are organizing a thank you tour for in honor of the governments, royal houses and corporations who over the years have passionately supported the Prince Paul for Romania foundation, with over 6 million Euros in medical, equipment, books, scholarships, construction materials, school desks, computers.
