
The huge Council of European educators held their annual conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia with the theme "Facing tomorrow's global issues today". Prince Paul of Romania spoke on the comparisons of the Romanian system of education, both pre and post Revolution and his lobbying efforts in Washington, Brussels and numerous European capitals on behalf of the new image of our Democracy. His Keynote speech was telecast and heartily applauded by the delegates from over 30 countries. The Prince joined Mr. Ray Shostak, an adviser to The Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown, who was awarded by HM Queen Elizabeth a Commander of the British Empire Order and renowned adventurer/environmentalist David de Rothschild to make joint declarations to the European press corps. Princess Paul later spoke on the educational challenges of teachers with the conflicting messages from television and the hip-hop music culture and the budget restrains they face.
