HRH Prince Paul of Romania Honors the Widows of the Fallen Police Officers

The Throne Room of the National Art Museum was the site of the prestigious event organized by The Internal Minister and the General Inspector of the Romanian Police to commemorate “The Annual Police Day”. All members of the EU, U.S.A. and Russia sent their Chiefs of Police to attend this occasion.
Prince and Princess Paul of Romania offered a donation of 4000 Euros to the widows of the officers who were killed in the line of duty. In a moving and distinguished speech that culminated with emotional responses from the audience and embraces from the widows, Prince Paul stated that he hoped this gesture would be perceived mainly as a sign of respect and gratitude to those fallen officers. “We’re aware that our gesture can never match the loss that the families of our heroes have suffered. We simply wish to find the road to their grieving souls and offer them a bit of the warmth from our heart”. Several diplomats mentioned that the gesture was made like a true prince. Prince Paul intends to supplement the initial donations with another 2000 Euros each for the children of the fallen heroes during a summer visit to their home in Arad. This visit will be coordinated with scheduled protocols of “The Prince Paul Foundation for Romania” that have been annually observed with Arad schools and churches because Princess Lia’s mother was born and educated there. This year has been set aside by the foundation to celebrate the generous support from governments and corporations’ donations of over 6 million Euros worth of medical equipment and supplies, reconstruction of clinics, schools and churches, scholarships, excursions for gifted children, etc. that have been distributed throughout the country by The Prince Paul Foundation.
