Year 2006 has been declared “Carol I Year” – 140 year since HM King Carol I. Reminding us of the tight bond between the King, the Orthodox Church and the people, TRH Prince and Princess Paul of Romania whished the start of this tour, as a sign of gratitude for the Romanian people that has always shown trust and support. The purpose not being just that of re-meeting the wonderful people and places of this country, but also that of promoting the, well-deserved image of it internationally.
