Prince Paul of Romania was honored by the Chinese representants of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was bestowed the honorific title of Romanian-Chinese Friendship Ambassador, becoming the forth Romanian to receive this medal.
In Beijing, Their Royal Highnesses had a brief meeting with President James Carter and his wife, Rosalynn. More than 30 years ago, Princess Paul of Romania worked at the White House in the Carter Administration and was involved in the first official visit of Chinese Vice Premier Deng Xiaoping in Washington.
In Shanghai, T.R.H. Prince and Princess Paul of Romania visited the biggest wine company in China, Heres, which also sells Romanian wines. The last key-moment of the China experience was the Huawei cell-phone factory, where Their Royal Highnesses had the chance to see the production line and to discuss a possible future investment in Romania.
