Godmother/First Lady Maria Basescu was pleased that The Royal Family wished to donate IT equipment and televisions to schools in Potigrafu and Ciolpani
One year after HRH Prince Carol Ferdinand’s baptism, his godmother, First Lady Maria Basescu joined his parents, TRH Prince and Princess Paul of Romania for a mini concert by Opera Diva Felicia Filip, PRO TV sensation, counter tenor Narcis Ianau, a classical guitar duet and a horse riding exhibition.
After the antics of clowns and magicians, donations of computers, televisions and IT equipment to the nearby schools were made. Prince and Princess Paul of Romania urged the audience of VIPs and 20 ambassadors to help them demonstrate the spirit of generosity to their son by letting him, symbolically, give educational equipment to the nearby schools.
The Royal Family then hosted parties for over 400 schoolchildren. Sponsors included members of Petrom, Fairmont Hotel-Monte Carlo, OMV and Catalin Beciu, owner of the Selas Golf /Polo Club, site of the event.
Everyone was amused about the Grand Prix Monaco baby jacket + T shirt worn by Carol Ferdinand. His parents had attended their first Formula I race before a friendly visit to their friend, HSH Prince Albert.
