Sunday, 07.09.2008, Prince Paul and Princess Lia of Romania were guests of honor at Cluj, with the occasion of the Johann Strauss International Festival opening. The Hungary opera orchestra from Cluj-Napoca, under the wand of the Austrian conductor Christian Schulz dedicates this royal musical to Their Royal Highness, as gratitude for the active and continuous involvement in sustaining music as form of expression.Prince Paul is a real music lover, the classic operas being the music that charmed his childhood and took the place of lullabies and this is due to his mother, Helen Henriette Nagavitzine, a russian with noble heritages that managed to run away from Russia and moved to Paris, she was a known opera singer in that time. Her debut role was Mimi - La Boheme (Giacomo Puccini) at the Paris Opera.
So, the presence of Their Royal Highness at Cluj comes at a natural course in sustaining the classic music family, but also as a responsibility to inspire young Romanians and to develop their love for art.
